Fund Liberated Futures Fund

Enter an amount and press. DAFpay connects to your own DAF provider and submits the grant recommendation with this fund already designated — you approve it inside your provider's system, under their rules.

Minimum $10,000. Your grant goes to Movement Strategy Center as this fund's fiscal sponsor — never to dafimpact.org. It is irrevocable once accepted.

The thesis

Why this fund exists.

Twenty-four organizations, four pillars, three years. The portfolio was assembled to test whether community-rooted organizations use flexible capital strategically when they are trusted with it rather than reporting on it. They did — and the loan cohort inside the portfolio repaid at 95–100%, which is the finding that made LFIF possible.

The grant portfolio stays open because the organizations in it are still building. A contribution here is a straightforward grant into a vetted, already-diligenced set of 24 grantees, with none of the work of assembling that set yourself.

How this fund deploys

The instruments, and what each one is for.

Matching the instrument to the stage is the whole discipline. A cooperative buying its building and a first-time manager raising an anchor commitment need different money, on different terms, with different definitions of return.

Two ways in, depending on how ready you are.

If you know where you want capital to land, press the button on that fund and your DAF provider takes it from there. If you would rather spread it, build an allocation across several funds and send the whole thing at once.

    Regulatory disclosure

DAF Impact lists pooled charitable funds and routes contributions to them; it is not itself a sponsoring organization, a broker, or an investment adviser, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy a security. Every contribution is a grant recommendation made from your own donor-advised fund or foundation to the listed fund's sponsoring entity, and is irrevocable once that sponsor accepts it. Each listed fund is governed by its own sponsor, whose charitable-purpose intent review, due diligence and final administrative verification determine whether and how capital is deployed. Recoverable instruments carry a genuine risk of non-return; capital that does return remains charitable and is redeployed, never distributed to contributors. Adding a fund to an allocation, or submitting an interest profile, does not create a binding asset-transfer contract or any guarantee of return.
